African country citizens, CEI countries and regions such as Indonesia and Macao must request a visa for Egypt, while citizens of other countries can request a visa at the port of entry. Most countries, including Algeria and Syria, are members of CITES.
If you travel with animals you must hold a veterinary certificate, and for countries like Kuwait, you must as well have a permit from the corresponding ministry. Departure tax is applicable to, for example, Kuwait, Libya and Tunisia.
In most countries there are restrictions for the quantity of cigarettes, cigars and alcohol units that you’re allowed to carry when leaving the country, although there are no restrictions for countries like Libya and Israel. Antiques and items of historic value need a permit and must be declared.
In general, most countries do not allow transport of firearms. However, for countries like Bahrain and Mauritania, you’ll need a license and a special permit to carry firearms into the country.
