Andalusia City Schools Calendar The Andalusia City School system offers a variety of classes and courses in an effort to provide for the needs of the entire community. From academic and vocational courses, to fine arts and athletics, the Andalusia City Schools have something for everyone. In addition to our regular school day classes, we also offer after-school enrichment programs that include STEM, JAGS club, Spanish Classes, and more. In order to get involved with these classes or any other after-school activities offered at the school, please contact your child’s guidance counselor today!Andalusia City Schools has recently released their school calendar for the 2022 – 2023 school year. The new schedule for this upcoming school year is now available to download and print off. This year, K-12 students will have four semesters with 180 days of instruction, 10 instructional days in the summer, and two days of professional development on each end of the semester. The new calendar includes a modified A/B day schedule with alternating periods throughout the week.It also features a modified block schedule for middle and high schools which allows more time for elective courses. In addition to the traditional three day weekends that start on Friday afternoons, there will be eight half-days that start at 12:30 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays throughout the year. This new calendar is more aligned with national standards and aligns more closely with lessons learned from research on student achievement around scheduling models.
