Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, UPSEE is a state level entrance test organized by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, UP for providing admission into Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Design, Management and Computer Applications etc., students are also provided admission into B.Tech, B.Pharma and MCA through lateral entry where through UPSEE scores students get entry to various private / government and other affiliated institutions
Why UPSEE is Important
UPSEE is important in that it is a qualification recognized all over India. In fact, in the IGNOU answer book, UPSEE has been listed as a qualification recognized all over India. In most institutions, UPSEE scores are considered in admissions, even where UPTET or CET scores are accepted. It is also important because UPSEE is the most prominent engineering entrance test in the entire country.
But there are also numerous reasons to avoid UPSEE and take a step back and prepare for UPTET. Read below if you want to know why UPSEE can be a good option to reduce stress and dedicate time for your studies.

Educational Qualifications Required for UPSEE
3 years of graduation or equivalent level of education
Except for the Pharmacy department, 3 years of practical course is essential for admission to all other departments.
UPSEE score is an important gateway to higher education for the candidates who are aspiring for a degree in engineering, architecture, pharmacy, medical, management, nursing, culinary, fashion designing and other engineering, pharmacy and pharmacy allied programmes.

What to expect from the exam
The UPSEE exam will contain objective type questions. The UPSEE exam is divided in to 3 sections for Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
The exam will comprise 75 questions for each subject. Candidates will be allowed one attempt and there will be no negative marking. UPSEE will be followed by a Tier-1 and a Tier-2 Exam. Candidates can visit their allotted college for the Tier-1 Exam only. Candidates need to pay their fee at their respective Colleges before filling the application form.

When it comes to preparing UPSEE exams, it is necessary for one to prepare their own time tables and schedule of examination dates.
If you are unable to reach your study place on time, you might lose your exam time to other students who will finish their preparation in time. Therefore, it is very important to carefully plan your study schedule and try to complete all assignments on time.
It is recommended to select your subjects and also one should work for subjects on which you have less score. This can give you a competitive edge over the other students who will be working in subjects which they will be giving the exams. When preparing for UPSEE, one should develop a realistic study strategy.

When to start Preparing for the Exam
The UPSEE exam time table and UPSEE online entry process is opened and released every year in February. Even though there are specific time and date in which to start preparing for UPSEE exam, it is advised to start practicing as early as possible, so that you can take a good guess on the actual date and time of the UPSEE examination.
Although UPSEE entrance tests are conducted at more than 70 examination centres across the country in the month of March and April, you can begin preparing for UPSEE online entrance test in the month of January itself.
