The cost of Goddard School has always been a topic of discussion. Some people think that the school is expensive, while others think it’s a great opportunity. In this blog post, we will be updating our costs every year so that you can make an informed decision about whether or not you want to attend Goddard School.
Costs of Goddard School: Updated Every Year.
Goddard School is a highly selective private school located in the heart of Manhattan. It offers students an excellent education and a competitive atmosphere. But like any other business, Goddard School faces some costs that are unique to its operation. These costs include tuition, room and board, and other associated expenses. In order to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information on Goddard School’s costs, we have updated our website each year.
The Latest tuition and room rates
Tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year is $45,550. This rate reflects the introduction of a new tuition structure that was instituted by the school’s Board of Trustees in February 2015.
Goddard School charges room and board fees for some students who live away from campus. These rates are competitive with those of other schools in New York City. For example, a student living off-campus would pay $12,500 per year for room and board fees.
The most recent tuition and room rates can be found on our website: https://goddardschool.com/tuition/
What else does the school charge?
Since tuition and room and board are the largest expenses Goddard School faces, they are the most significant ones you will be paying. Tuition is $52,000 a year. Room and board runs $14,000 per year, which includes three meals at dinner each week.
Other costs include fees (approximate fees of $2,00-5,000), sports or club memberships ($1-3 per month), and books ($100-300).
Who pays for special needs students?
Special needs students are not the same as regular students. They require a lot more attention and care than those without special needs. This is why many private schools charge higher tuition rates for special needs students.
This includes Goddard School, which charges higher tuition for students with disabilities. It is important to note that the school does its best to accommodate these costs by providing activities such as extra one-on-one time, extra services, smaller class size, and more support staff members per student.
In addition to this, some financial aid is available for qualifying families of special needs students.
How much does the school spend on other items?
Goddard School has a total expense budget of $40,000 per student. This includes expenses such as tuition, room and board, and other associated expenses.
The school will spend on average $40,000 per student each year.
Tuition and fees
Tuition is a significant part of the cost involved in running a school, so it’s important to know what you’ll be paying into.
Goddard School charges tuition based on two components: the number of credit hours you take per semester and your grade point average. The amount you pay for each credit hour is determined by how much it costs Goddard School to offer that course per credit hour.
The GPA component is governed by the law governing New York State public schools. There are three categories that relate to the grading system: A (4.0), B (3.5-3.99), and C (2-2.99). The GPA at which you are charged tuition is determined by your category and the number of credit hours taken.
For example, if you took courses with a 4.0 GPA while taking only six credit hours per semester, then your tuition would be $73,000/year–the lowest possible rate based on your classification.
Other expenses.
Tuition
There is no tuition cost to attend Goddard School. We are a nonprofit, so all tuition proceeds go directly towards the school’s operating budget. If a student’s family cannot afford the tuition, they can request a scholarship from the school.
Room and Board
Students are provided with three meals per day and housing in one of our dormitories for an average four-year period. While some students choose to stay in single rooms, most live on campus in shared rooms. Room and board costs range depending on which type of residence a student chooses and how many meals they plan to eat per day while living on campus.
Other Expenses
The majority of Goddard School expenses are not paid through tuition or room and board. We offer uniforms, textbooks, workshops, field trips, transportation, required materials for classes, etc., through an optional fee system that charges an average of $250 a year for each student enrolled in the school.
