Springfield College Courses

Springfield College offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 40 majors, master’s degrees in a variety of different fields, and doctoral programs in counseling psychology, physical therapy, and physical education. The student-to-faculty member ratio is 15:1. The College is split into five schools:

Meal Plans

Scholarships and Aid

On average, Springfield College’s tuition fees and financial aid package is $29,300, which accounts for scholarships, grants, and loans. All undergraduate students are initially considered for an academic/merit scholarship when they are evaluated for admission into Springfield College. These scholarships cover Springfield College tuition fees. Eligibility for academic scholarships is listed below. The scholarships are solely for tuition, for a maximum of four years, and only for undergraduate degrees.

Merit Scholarships

Trustee Scholarship: Value is $22,000 per year ($88,000 over four years). Requires a Cumulative Weighted GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Presidential Scholarship: Value is $18,000 per year ($72,000 over four years). Requires a Cumulative Weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Dean Scholarship: Value is $15,000 per year ($60,000 over four years). Requires a Cumulative Weighted GPA of 2.5 or higher

Students that do not meet the criteria for a merit scholarship Should check the:

Director Award The value is $10,000 annually ($40,000 over four years). Requires a Cumulative Weighted GPA below a 2.5. Scholarship upgrades are possible if students have new test scores or an improved seventh semester cumulative weighted GPA to submit to their admissions counselor.
Legacy Award This is a one-time award of $2,000 upon entry into Springfield College to any student whose brother, sister, parent, or grandparent (including stepfamily members) received a degree from Springfield College or are currently enrolled as a degree-seeking student. Only one award is available to the student regardless of the number of family members attending or previously receiving degrees.
Jesse L. Parks Scholarship This offers Full-tuition renewable scholarship per year to an academically qualified student with a demonstrated commitment to diversity and who lives in Springfield. Preference will be given to students from underrepresented or diverse groups.
William Beckett Teacher Preparation Scholarship This offers Full tuition and fees renewable scholarship to an academically qualified Springfield Public School student who, upon graduation, will return to the same district to teach. Preference will be given to students from underrepresented or diverse groups.
Say Yes Scholars This offers a limited number of full-tuition scholarships awarded to academically qualified students whose high schools are affiliated with the Say Yes to Education Program.
Couzelis Scholarship This is an annual undergraduate scholarship of $3,500 ($14,000 over four years/eight semesters) given to three students in the entering first-year class each year majoring in either Physical Education or Exercise Science. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need.
YMCA Career Award This is awarded to select incoming first-year students of promise who plan to make a career in the YMCA and who have exemplified participation and leadership in the YMCA through their high school years.
