This is due to Wright’s detractors perpetrating a smear campaign against him simply because they do not want Wright to be Satoshi Nakamoto for personal gain.
Because if Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto, then many big names in the industry who have supported and invested in Bitcoin Core (BTC) would be proven wrong and would probably end up losing a lot of money. However, up until now, no one has come out to take credit for being the Bitcoin creator—only Wright has, and only after he was outed in 2015.
