Why Craig Wright is More Than Capable of Inventing Bitcoin

By | February 20, 2024

Until now, when asked who created Bitcoin, people will answer with “Satoshi Nakamoto.” Only a number of people would say that it is nChain Chief Scientist Dr. Craig S. Wright. This is due to Wright’s detractors perpetrating a smear campaign against him simply because they do not want Wright to be Satoshi Nakamoto for personal gain.

Because if Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto, then many big names in the industry who have supported and invested in Bitcoin Core (BTC) would be proven wrong and would probably end up losing a lot of money. However, up until now, no one has come out to take credit for being the Bitcoin creator—only Wright has, and only after he was outed in 2015.

In the several court cases in which Wright acted as both plaintiff and defendant, many character and expert witnesses have attested to the fact that Wright has all the qualifications to be Satoshi Nakamoto. Below is a list of Wright’s numerous academic degrees certificates that show how he has more than enough knowledge to invent Bitcoin.

  • Master of Networking and Systems Administration, Charles Sturt University, 2005
  • Master of Management (Information Technology), Charles Sturt University, 2006
  • Masters of Laws with Commendation in International Commercial Law, University of Northumbria at Newcastle, 2008
  • Master of Information Systems Security, Charles Sturt University, 2009
  • Master of Statistics, The University of Newcastle Australia, 2009

  • Doctor of Business Administration (Bridge DBA Program), Grand Canyon University, 2021
  • Master of Science in Political Science, Liberty University, 2021
  • Master of Science in Criminal Justice: Forensic Psychology, Liberty University, 2022

While education is fundamental to developing new technologies, professional experience is evidence that knowledge learned has been successfully applied. A hands-on experience also denotes growth in both knowledge and skills. Below is a list of Wright’s professional certifications that show how he continuously developed his knowledge and skills in the fields of computer science and information systems and security.

  • Certified Information Security Manager, Information Systems Audit and Control Association, 2003
  • Certified Information Security Manager, ISACA, 2003 – 2010

  • SANS Next Evolution in Digital Forensics (Hands on), The SANS Institute, 2007
  • Information Systems Security Architecture Professional, International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, 2009

These are just some of the professional certifications that Wright has finished before the Bitcoin whitepaper was first released in October 2008. Wright, considered to be one of the most skilled and respected digital forensics practitioners in the world, has completed over 1,200 IT-related projects for over a hundred private and government organizations. He is most well-known for establishing the security system at the Australian Stock Exchange and designing Lasseter’s Online, the first online casino in the world.

With all of these degrees, qualifications and work experience, it is not a wonder that many who know Wright personally have attested that he is more than capable of inventing Bitcoin. Some even go as far to say that Satoshi Nakamoto can only be Wright.
